Atomic unit of media consumption..... whatever it is
I have no idea what is the atomic unit of media consumption... atomic unit was in my chemistry books if I remember correctly. But what I know is Google is seriously planning a new news venture. First came how much Google news was worth, then wiki style news and now this atomic level consumption... whatever. Nevertheless a fresh Marissa video, enjoy with guilt>>>>>>>>

Tomorrow's newspapers will be online wikis: Marissa Mayer
Its final. The newspapers of the future (as near as 2009) would be Wikipedia style wikis that only editors and journalists and other related media person's can edit. In a talk delivered at a local Silicon Valley newspaper company Marissa Mayer thinks that's how news media in a democratic world should be.
What this means? This means Google will soon a start a wiki based news service and will do everything to force this idea onto the minds of humanity. Though you may jump up thinking its great idea, it is actually a stolen idea, Jimmy Wales thought about it way back in 2001 but didn't bother to capitalize on it. Current affairs topics in Wikipedia are edited the way all other articles are edited in Wikipedia, making the experience more richer.
A limited wiki is the ultimate weapon to force your opinion on people, it looks a wiki but its only wiki-ed by a small group of people. Bravo to Marissa, Larry, Sergey and Schmidt.

Whispered: Marissa invests 5 Million in lonelygirl15!
Don't tell this to anyone. Marissa along with colleague Georges Harik have invested a total of about 5 Million in a social entertainment start-up called EQAL. EQAL started in 2005 not as a company but just as a YouTube prank, wherein a beautiful but lonely girl would post her video blogs. Today known to everyone on the Internet as lonelygirl15. EQAL essentially consists of 3 people the two photographers Greg Goodfried and Miles Beckett (Daniel!) and of course lonelygirl15 herself. So thus we can see how a poor lonelygirl can raise 5 Million and live happily ever after. But the question we are wondering is why Marissa likes lonelygirl15. Is Marissa lonely?
